Burning Sunlight

by Elizabeth Sawdon (Elizabeth Sawdon)

I think life all depends

If you break or you bend

Through the water, with the light

If there’s no yellow instead

Go to sleep dream in red

Then wake up, everything turns to white

But it passes by

When I shut my eyes

The time, it’s turning

I’m burning sunlight

I forget how it feels

To be popping them pills

That lifted the fog off my mind

I’m held in place by a thread

Hiding under the bed sheet above

All the love up ahead left behind

Yeah when I shut my eyes

It still passes by

The time, it’s turning

I’m burning sunlight

Now I find it surreal

Spinning round on a wheel

Up and down, round and round in a line

Oh it passes by like a lullaby

Floats across the sky like a butterfly

The time, it’s turning

I’m burning sunlight

Yeah time’s turning

I’m burning sunlight

Burning sunlight

Burning sunlight

I think life all depends

If you break or you bend

Through the water, with the light
